The village of Clonbur is ideally suited to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the West of Ireland, with a wealth of Country and Rural pursuits such as: Mountain walking/ climbing, swimming, fishing, watersports, horse riding and forest walks. Clonbur Woods are accessed just a short drive from the cottage, and offer lovely well marked trails through the forests along the shores of Lough Mask. The village has several friendly pubs with great traditional music and meals on offer. The local supermarket is well stocked with bakery, butchers, full grocery and off licence.

The cottage is within easy driving distance of Connemara, an area of outstanding scenic beauty with a wealth of activities to enjoy.

Other nearby attractions include: World renowned fishing on Lough Mask and Lough Corrib. Fishing trips can be arranged. Historic Ashford Castle is nearby, with the chance to go horseriding, falconery, and boat trips on the lake.
