The property is located on the Wild Atlantic Way in the heart of Allihies Village, 1 minute walk to pubs, shop, church and post office. Allihies is an old copper mining village with the remains of the mines still clearly visible around the village. The Allihies Copper Mine Museum is located nearby. At one time the area was the largest copper producing area in Europe

The village itself is a quaint, unspoilt traditional Irish village, with pubs and brightly painted houses which together create the ideal getaway.

Walking - the well mapped Beara Way walking route passes nearby, take in a trek to see the Allihies Copper Mines or to Ballydonegan Beach

Horse-Riding - local equestrian centre

Cycling - the Ring of Beara cycling route passes the property and is well marked and bicycles are available for hire in Castletownbere.
